We want to help our associates be better at their jobs – every day. I enjoy most the opportunity to interact with so many functional areas and help others find ways to be successful and drive business results.

Inclusion & Gender Balance

Inclusion & Gender Balance

The best talent around the world is looking for a company that best reflects growth and diversity in its people and its approach. Purina's vision is to foster an environment of inclusion that empowers ALL associates to bring their best to work.

Not many companies devote as much time and effort, let alone an entire department, to bettering their people. Being able to bring your pet to work every day is definitely a bonus, too!

The sales projects I find most fascinating are those that help streamline processes and enhance former ways of doing things.

The care/quality that goes into every single product is what makes working in manufacturing here different from other companies.

I love working for a company that supports the development of their employees both professionally and personally. I am encouraged to grow and develop through learning opportunities and training courses offered at every level of my career.

Manufacturing Excellence

Manufacturing Excellence

What makes me most excited about my career here is the investment Nestlé Purina makes in me and in innovating our products, processes and ways of working. Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) is a huge part of this innovation as it gives us the tools and methodologies to create and sustain world-class operations – in manufacturing and beyond.

I'm part of our Pilot Plant and love working with the project leaders and R&D Team. Nestlé Purina is such a great place to work; it's the only place I know that lets you bring your pet with you to work – that's pretty awesome!

I transferred from China to St. Louis to be a Sourcing Specialist – I buy raw material for our products. We see the big picture of our product lines and our company's overall business direction. Being that we are involved in all of our brand projects, we are at the frontier of product development.

As a lawyer at Purina, it's all about solving real problems for real people - people you truly know. There's a lot of professional satisfaction in that. #petfoodlawyer

Before accepting my current role as an Assistant Production Manager at our Davenport, Iowa factory, I was a Process Engineer for our R&D group and worked on a lot of exciting projects. What separates R&D here from R&D teams at other companies is our culture. You have to be part of our Nestlé Purina Family to understand it.

R&D

R&D

My goal is to bridge the gap between human food and pet food. I am very passionate about what I do here at Nestlé Purina and I am surrounded by people in all areas who are just as passionate about what they do and the products that we produce.

What's unique about our Sales Team is that we're both a high-performing organization and a great place to work. I really enjoy doing analysis and telling the story of what's driving our pet care business.

Digital Marketing at Nestlé Purina means direct access to the best digital marketing platforms and tools. We have constant exposure to new/emerging digital media types, but at the same time, we stay laser-focused on performance and what's working best for Purina.

Our Market Development Organization (MDO) is unique because of its positioning within the organization. As a free-standing, demand-generating function, we work across almost every business unit, but primarily marketing and sales, to discover and enable new business/innovation opportunities. Simply put, we are the 'business amplifier'.

People Analytics

People Analytics

Working in people analytics allows me to combine two areas I am passionate about – data and people – to find answers to the questions concerning our associates. I feel lucky to be able to offer data-driven recommendations that have the potential to make a difference in the lives of everyone who works here.

People always talk about the focus of the business, but I don't think you really notice the passion until you're here five days a week and you see the breadth of the knowledge and capabilities here. You really see the power of category and product leadership.

Before Purina, I worked as a waitress waiting tables at a local restaurant in Arizona. I'm not sure exactly what inspired me to apply to Purina, but it changed my life. I'm proud. I work with the best people in the industry and I'm so appreciative of the support I've received from my colleagues and the management team.
Our 5 Talls Drive the Culture
A Day in the Life
We Pay it Forward
PetCare Pride Day
Each year, we celebrate PetCare Pride Day, a day of community service and volunteering at our St. Louis Headquarters and at factory cities across the country. Some of the day's activities include: building dog and cat beds, preparing ready-to-eat meals for the homeless and making fleece blankets to donate to area children's hospitals and local animal shelters.

United Way
We contribute more than $1.1 million to the United Way of Greater St. Louis each year. The funds are used by nearly 200 agencies in 16 counties in Missouri and Illinois to provide community services. Similar campaigns at our various manufacturing locations are also helping to improve their communities.

Nurturing a Better Environment
We've been making high-quality and nutritious pet products for more than 90 years. We're passionate about pets and the people who love them. That's why we're continuously working to use the earth's resources more efficiently and to further improve our impact on the environment.

Youth Education
For more than 30 years, we have funded and facilitated the Pet Advocates and Career Exploration (PACE) Program, designed to educate urban youth in St. Louis City about the workplace and to empower them to be more engaged within their communities. The 15-month program specifically focuses on community issues surrounding animal welfare and careers related to pets. The teens involved in the program develop leadership, career and life skills that will help them to be successful as future professionals, community leaders and animal welfare advocates.
