St. Louis – small and family-like while offering all the perks of a big city – was named a best place for recent college graduates by Forbes. Most recently, Purina was the only Consumer Packaged Goods company named a 'Best Place to Work for Recent Grads' by Experience.
Since 2007, an annual comprehensive list of 25 employers across the country are recognized by this award for demonstrating excellence in offering a team-oriented company culture, benefits that promote work-life balance and opportunities for career growth.
To be considered for inclusion on this Best Places list, employers must plan to recruit for a minimum of 12 full-time, entry-level positions throughout the year. A survey was distributed to over 200 participating companies, in which they are evaluated and awarded points based on weighted criteria. The top determining factors include access to training and development, company culture, benefits, salary and talent retention. Points were also awarded for company mission, allotted paid time off, career path opportunities, company attractiveness to recent graduates and expected work hours/schedule.
Our work-life balance model, collaborative culture and opportunities for training and development allow us to attract and retain individuals of all career levels and functional areas. We are very proud to be a desired employer by young talent across the country.
"When I graduated, it was important to me to find a global company to work for – a company I could be proud to say I work for," Purina associate and recent graduate, Staci W., said. "It's very apparent that leadership cares about the development of our entry-level associates and I'm looking forward to the opportunities ahead of me."
