21st century communication has created a dire need to be constantly connected to the outside world. The ability to create and consume content instantly and consistently has transformed the environments in which we live and work in. To adapt to this radical change in technology and communication, businesses, large and small, have found the need to equip themselves with the personnel and the resources to manage this digital transformation. Purina is no exception.
Led by our Consumer Communication & Insights team located at our St. Louis Headquarters, a DigitalLab was developed on the 7th floor of the Tower building in effort to create a space for real-time conversation and feedback. This space, lined with 25 monitors along the walls, is an internal hub to analyze key metrics, websites, social pages and relevant conversations. Members of the Digital Team can opt to follow online traffic based on pre-set programs, such as any and all dog conversations or chatter about a specific brand or product line. In addition to this space bringing our everyday digital work to life, it can quickly transform into a crisis management center.
A few months following the development of the DigitalLab, Purina designed a space called "The Feed" on the second floor of The Tower within our Innovation Center. The Feed is a truly proactive and innovative approach to responding personally to customers with real-time, customized content. It has become increasingly important to Purina that there is a genuine personalized touch to the conversations we have with our customer groups.
