After a decade of research and surveying over 70,000 consumers from 15 markets across the globe, APCO Worldwide has discovered a way to measure the consumer-brand relationship. As most decisions are based largely on emotional factors, APCO Insight – a division of APCO Worldwide – used a proprietary Emotional Linking Model to identify eight specific emotions that are fundamental to effective brand communication. What did they learn? Emotional attachment is the most reliable predictor of brand choice and brand loyalty.
