Living and Working in Flagstaff, AZ

At 7,000 ft. and surrounded by the San Francisco Peaks, is the scenic city of Flagstaff, Arizona. Flagstaff is located near the Grand Canyon and home to the famous Lowell Observatory, where Pluto was discovered in 1930.

The Flagstaff factory was built in 1975.

Flagstaff's early economy was based on lumber, railroad, and ranching industries. Today, the city remains an important distribution site for large manufacturers like Nestlé Purina, as well as Walgreens, SCA Tissue (a major tissue paper producer) and Joy Cone (ice cream cone producer).

With approximately 250 associates operating our Arizona facility, we're able to mass manufacture 1,000 tons of dry dog and cat food per day, which are part of the Dog Chow, Beneful, PurinaONE, Alpo and Pro Plan brands. 70,000 square-feet of solar panels on the rooftop of our facility draw nearly 12 million kilowatt hours of clean, emission-free solar electricity over its lifetime. Our team works relentlessly to eliminate the need to take unused raw materials, finished product and packaging to the landfill.

Includes 400,000 square feet of warehouse space.

While our facility is located in one of the industrial parks within the city, we're in very close proximity to downtown, where the city's culture truly comes to life. Boasting an active theatre and music scene, Flagstaff is a hub for a variety of festivals, shows, and other year-round arts and entertainment events. The area of Flagstaff is just one hour from Sedona, AZ, two hours from Phoenix, and only four from Las Vegas! Those who live out here stay active with both summer and winter sports – primarily skiing, hiking, and biking. With the San Francisco Peaks just north of the city, Arizonans have extreme sports and beautiful scenery within immediate reach. Many people say they enjoy Flagstaff for its natural beauty and small community.
