What's on your iPod?
A little of everything
What are your favorite books?
Pride and Prejudice
or anything else by Jane Austen
What motivates you to continue working at Nestlé Purina?
The biggest motivator to continue working at Nestlé Purina is the people. They are bright, fun, interesting and always challenge me to be the best. It is also fun to see the things I work on come to life, whether it is setting strategy, developing a new item, or producing a commercial.
What has been the most advantageous opportunity provided to you at Nestlé Purina?
Every opportunity I have had at Nestlé Purina has helped me build my skill and my expertise. But the greatest opportunity has been working on the TIDY CATS team, where I have gotten to learn from great leaders, as well as drive the business forward.
What has been the most rewarding thing about working at Nestlé Purina?
Getting to make a real difference in the business, but it hasn’t been at the sacrifice of my family.
What is the most gratifying component about your current role?
There are two things: Getting to see a brand’s strategy develop and grow. And getting to see my team develop and improve their skills and achieve great successes.
What exciting projects have you worked on?
My first role was on Dog Chow® brand during its re-stage, so being a part of such an iconic business that was going through radical change was extremely exciting. My current role on TIDY CATS is also very exciting because we are digging into the heart of our consumer and reshaping every consumer touch point to leverage the insight we have gained.
How have you been able to use your past experience or knowledge in your current role?
Strategic thinking and problem solving are skills that can be applied to virtually any role.
What has Nestlé Purina done to help you develop professionally or personally?
I have taken advantage of the training opportunities available through Nestlé Purina PetCare to help round out my skills.
How has Nestlé Purina supported your work-life balance?
The on-site daycare facility has been a wonderful benefit—it allows me to stop by during the day, plus I know my son is in great hands even when I am not there.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?
Spend time with my one-year old son.
When you're out on the town, where are we most likely to run into you?
Out on the town—what's that? I have a baby.
