What's your most unusual or impressive skill?: Certified scuba diver.
What are your favorite books?: General's Daughter by Nelson Demille.
What made you choose to work at Nestlé Purina?: Aside from loving the idea of working for such a fun company, the inspiring people I met on my interviews motivated me to want to work here and enjoy work as they do.
What motivates you to continue working at Nestlé Purina?: The variety of responsibility that I have is interesting and challenging. I enjoy the mix of working with fellow associates and customers, and of course, upper management. Because of the structure of my department, I not only have short-term career goals, but long-term career goals as well. These goals keep me on track and eager to continue growing and succeeding within this company.
What has been the most advantageous opportunity provided to you at Nestlé Purina?: From day one, I was assigned to a variety of customers with needs in several areas for improvement. I have enjoyed every minute of growing, learning, and succeeding with them. I have really enjoyed improving our professional relationships and business strategies together.
What has been the most rewarding thing about working at Nestlé Purina?: I truly believe it to be a great fit for me. My career path, the people, the location, all of it!
Describe your greatest experience with Nestlé Purina.: I have worked closely with a new buyer from one of my businesses to not only improve our business relationship, but to transform this buyer and her business from my most challenging customer to my very best. This transition has been very rewarding.
What is the most gratifying component about your current role?: I enjoy my team’s dynamics and our competitive nature.
How have you been able to use your past experience or knowledge in your current role?: With my experience as a college basketball player, followed by my college basketball coaching experience, teamwork has really come quite naturally to me here at Nestlé Purina. I love the team atmosphere and we all work well together toward common goals.
What has Nestlé Purina done to help you develop professionally or personally?: My position has provided me with an opportunity to develop and expand solid insight on the business cycle. My everyday interactions with my customers have enhanced my customer service level.
How has Nestlé Purina supported your work-life balance?: I live within 2 miles of work, which I love. I have chosen core hours that fit best with my customers and my team.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?: I come from a large, tightly knit family (including 3 nieces and a nephew), so I often spend time at family get-togethers. I am an active athlete and will play any sport for fun … of course, my favorite is basketball.
