The Purina Pets for People program has generated over $33 million for animal welfare organizations since 1984.
By supporting our partners in animal welfare, Nestlé Purina helps provide care and adoption for more than 1.5 million pets annually.
Purina® Pets for People™ helps pets and pet owners suffering in the wake of catastrophic events. For example‚ in the aftermath of Katrina, Rita‚ and Ike and the floods in Missouri, Iowa, and Indiana‚ Purina donated nearly 300 tons of Purina® brand dog and cat foods and litter to various organizations‚ animal clinics and relief agencies. Purina made additional cash donations to the Red Cross and other disaster relief teams.

Purina® Pets for People™ helps pet welfare organizations develop, organize and implement new welfare educational programs. Purina also helps to sponsor conferences like the American Humane Conference and the Society of Animal Welfare Administrators annual conference.
Rally to Rescue™ is a partnership between Purina® Pro Plan® and select pet rescue organizations
across the country. The program raises funds and awareness for pet rescue.

Purina partners with nearly 300 shelters nationwide to provide senior citizens with reduced cost pet
adoptions. Participating humane shelters are reimbursed $50 for every senior adoption to help defray
the costs of spaying or neutering‚ vaccinations‚ and other fees.
